At lunch, an ochazuke (green tea poured over rice) set menu is available, served with several dishes of obanzai, or Kyoto cuisine side-dishes. Evening fare is an omakase; techniques passed on from the flagship establishment lends brilliance to both soup and grilled dishes. Hassun appetisers loaded with treats such as hijiki seaweed, croquettes and nanbanzuke are served simply. Shaved-ice treats served year-round are a popular sweet – especially loved is the matcha-flavoured shaved ice sweetened with wasanbon syrup.
