MICHELIN Guide's Point Of View

One Star: High quality cooking

If you’re on the lookout for a high-quality restaurant close to the beach or marina, there’s no excuse not to eat here, given its location near Regueral beach, just a few steps from the Club Nàutic de Cambrils. The restaurant is split between two floors with a highly contemporary ambience, where guests can savour cuisine by the acclaimed duo of chef Diego Campos, one of the bastions behind the resurgence of local gastronomy, and his son Rubén, who brings a fresh approach including an Asian touch resulting from his travels in Thailand, Singapore, China and Japan. The à la carte here is supported by three menus (Del Cava, Gastronómico and Súmmum). It is pleasantly surprising to see how this updated take on traditional cuisine that includes fish and seafood from Cambrils and sublime local rice dishes (monkfish “suquet”, rice with Mediterranean red lobster etc) combines perfectly with more contemporary-style dishes such as red tuna tartare with dashi, guacamole, and wasabi ice-cream, and Thai sea bass with Jerusalem artichoke purée.
