Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
This à la carte udon shop is a project of the proprietress of the Japanese restaurant Miyamoto. The use of bamboo gives the restaurant a kappo feel. In the evening the style is a fixed menu to which drinking snacks can be added. Great care is taken with the use of crockery – this is an udon restaurant with the flair of a soba place. The star of the udon items is the dashi soup stock, which is created with the basic soup stock, particularly drawing inspiration from soup dishes in traditional multi-course meals. A flavoursome lesson in Osaka dashi culture.
