MICHELIN Guide's Point Of View

One Star: High quality cooking

If you’re looking for a restaurant in the pedestrianised streets around the cathedral in the centre of the city, this restaurant could be the perfect option. The focus in this relatively small space with just a handful of tables (the majority of which are on the pedestrian street it fronts), is on an interesting approach to fusion cuisine which combines creativity and South American flourishes from Peru, Mexico and Argentina. These stem from Argentina-born chef Emi Schobert who searches for his inspiration “in the sea, the mountains and local ingredients” and who has represented his country in the prestigious Bocuse d’Or world cooking competition on two occasions. His cuisine, which always showcases a constant delicacy in its presentation, is centred around a single tasting menu entitled Gran Menú Blossom, on which his sweetbread biscuit, with chickpea and Jerusalem artichoke took us completely by surprise. Given the limited space here, booking ahead is absolutely essential.
