The original doors of this one-time pub open up to reveal a vibrant modern restaurant that comes complete with a warm welcome and flavour-packed South African cooking. The rustic décor retains some evidence of its pubby past, while the kitchen counter is the best place to sit if you want to engage with the chatty chefs. As the name would suggest, the braai plays a key role in the menu, with produce from poussin to hispi cabbage given the smoky treatment. Make sure to order the biltong too, as it's a real treat.
