Formerly known as The Star Inn, this sister to The Woodspeen is a lovely Cotswold stone inn situated in a tiny hamlet. The interior has a clean, contemporary style reminiscent of Nordic minimalism, but the friendly service team are on hand to add plenty of warmth. The seasonally influenced dishes are unpretentious in style, including pub favourites like rib-eye and chips. In summer, dine al fresco on the lovely rear terrace, and you can extend your trip by staying in one of the bedrooms housed in a converted barn.
