Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
The emblem of this restaurant, which is now into its fourth decade and is spoken of very highly by everyone, is three barrels – a reference to its close connection with the wine sector. It features an entrance hall and several dining rooms with a classic-rustic feel and wine-focused decor, in which the menu showcases the cuisine of the Beira Alta region. The simple, copious dishes on offer include pork rice in a garlic and wine sauce, octopus “à lagareiro”, and the loin of confit cod with spinach and pork sausage. The spacious garden and its wine club that sells direct to the public at affordable prices add to its appeal.
