Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
Located along a narrow, cobbled street in the town’s old quarter, reasonably close to the castle. The modest façade leads to a small but welcoming dining room with a rustic feel and a decor that revolves around the world of bullfighting. Here, the traditional cuisine is focused on meat, with the occasional dish dedicated to bulls in the ring, in homage to the team of “forcados”, a typical aspect of Portuguese bullfights in which both the owner and his father were once involved. Make sure you try the exquisite skewers of bull’s meat, not forgetting the “cozido à portuguesa” stew served every Thursday!
