Rua Joaquim Casimiro 8, Lisbon, Portugal
€€ ・ Traditional Cuisine
This restaurant, with its small entrance, is located on the exact spot of the erstwhile Drogaria do Sr. Albino (hence the name) in the busy Lapa district. Its retro ambience, featuring marble tables, various mirrors dotted around the two dining rooms and a checkered floor (all of which provide added personality) is in perfect harmony with a modern and sophisticated decor. The menu here is based around classic Portuguese dishes, albeit with a contemporary flair. Iconic dishes such as cod croquettes, “bacalhau à bras”, roast suckling pig, and rice pudding are all attractively presented and full of surprising textures. The delightful atmosphere on the charming outdoor terrace comes into its own on a summer evening!
