At the helm of several establishments, Manoj Sharma has boldly set about freeing Indian food from its hackneyed clichés (like the predictable tandoori or korma chicken). In a spruce, modern, colourful venue, his authentic bistronomic cooking delves into an Indian score that has shaken off its traditional visual and technical fetters. Examples include masala fried chicken, with coconut and curry leaves; long sweet peppers stuffed with masala cheese and yoghurt sauce; caramelised ginger cake. Simmered and crafted with lashings of spices and aromatic herbs, Manoj’s delicious dishes nonetheless find favour with delicate western palates. The lunch menu is a bargain. The à la carte menu changes regularly.
