Joanto means "Little John" in Basque, but there is nothing diminutive about this place! Its fine traditional architecture and convivial ambience are more than worthy of applause, as is the generous cooking of its head chef, who has worked in some top establishments. This is meticulous and indulgent cuisine, with an explosion of Basque Country flavours: pâté en croûte, milk-fed Pyrenean lamb, Armagnac baba. Fantastic value for money.
