This family-run place, a 19C coaching inn, has been in the hands of chef-patron Philippe Arnault since 1992. He is ably assisted by his wife, daughter and, in the kitchen, his son-in-law, Sébastien Provendier (who has previously worked for the Meilleur family and Passedat). Tuck into delights such as trout gravlax with beetroot, buckwheat pancake and horseradish cream, in a pleasant dining room with large bay windows giving onto the inner courtyard. There is a shaded terrace to be enjoyed in fine weather and six guestrooms done out in a modern style inspired by the Sologne region.
