Isidore Odorico is the name of the Italian-born mosaic artist from Rennes who decorated the dining room of this restaurant in 1928. The blue and gold tiles of his Art Deco fresco unfurl majestically over the walls, arches and columns. In the kitchen, the repertoire of chef Armand Lallart – who worked in some prestigious establishments before settling in his hometown – pays tribute to the fish and seafood of Brittany and the sun of the Mediterranean with a short, modern menu at lunchtime, and a single set menu in the evening. The ingredients are carefully sourced, the sauces and jus are well made and the dish as a whole is very fresh.
