The date 1779 is marked above the entrance to Altes Brauhaus, a brewery where beer was never in fact brewed. Now it serves up a tasty mix of regional and classic dishes (including vegetarian options) prepared by chef Ute Weishaupt who runs this lovely old restaurant with her sister Elke. The elegant, traditional style dining rooms alone with their sumptuous wood panelling and ornate carving are worth a visit. Charming interior courtyard terrace.
