Perched on the heights of Chasse-sur-Rhône, the Domaine de Gorneton brings you under its spell with its bucolic atmosphere. This 17C stone building houses guestrooms, a swimming pool and this restaurant, the name of which is a nod to the waterlilies on the pond. The simple and inviting dining space combines rustic tiling with exposed beams. Chef Loïc Plestin (previously at La Loge Bertin in Manosque) cooks up serious, flavourful cuisine (not least the jus): chicken fricassee with wilted spinach, fragrant tomato jus and mushrooms; compressed apple terrine, white chocolate ganache and Breton biscuit.
