This charming farmhouse dating back to 1604 is truly idyllic! Set at an altitude of around 600m, it boasts a beautiful location with views of Freiburg. Inside, low ceilings, rustic wooden seats and benches, wooden floorboards and an old tiled stove make for a cosy atmosphere and tap into the character of the region. Dedicated owners Melanie and Pierre Barrel are in the thick of the action here – she heads up the friendly and professional service team; he runs the kitchen. Diners are served a "carte blanche" menu of four or six courses, inspired by the seasons and the proprietors' French heritage. In addition to the restaurant, there is a bistro section with a short à la carte menu. The garden and terrace are real highlights – in summer, guests naturally gravitate outdoors. Those looking to stay a little longer and explore the wonderful Black Forest landscape can spend the night in one of the attractive, comfortable rooms available in the charming guesthouse.
