Leave central Istanbul behind and head to Grandma's Wonderland in the Silivri district. This establishment set in verdant surroundings has both a hotel and this cosy restaurant, as well as a farm that supplies poultry, vegetables and other ingredients. Local produce is treated with great respect and, specialising in plant-forward cooking, the kitchen team adopts a zero-waste approach. The menu features skewers, veal tongue pastrami with cherry sauce, kasseri cheese tortellini, spinach and a butter sauce with white wine and sage. The farm-to-table concept is taken seriously here. A spot on the terrace, in the company of the resident dogs, and with a glass of wine from the estate in hand, is a must!
