Polea is impressively run by a couple who decided to return to Spain (the homeland of the female half of the partnership) after many years working abroad. Behind its highly original façade, featuring green azulejos and thick esparto blinds, discover a rustic-contemporary ambience featuring a small bar and a partially open-view kitchen. Polea’s cooking is based around a single, thoroughly modern and highly personal tasting menu that takes its focus from locally sourced seasonal ingredients, with some dishes inspired by its own garden and incorporating various influences from elsewhere (especially Scandinavia). Polea is a restaurant that only uses fish that has been caught using sustainable methods.
