Who doesn’t wish they lived next door to Chez Firmin? The epitome of a buzzy neighbourhood bistro with the bonus of a terrace overlooking wooded hillsides. Sharing is the name of the game here. In his open kitchen, the chef turns out his version of bistronomic classics that he proudly places in the centre of the table. Snails in garlic and herb butter, slabs of tender rare beef flanked by melt-in-the-mouth veggies cooked in veal stock with an almost ethereal Black Forest extravaganza to finish: the à la carte and slate suggestions bear all the trappings of a genuine country banquet!
