Chef-patron Domenik Alex and Madlen Häckel represent the fifth generation to run this family business, which has been in existence since 1886. "A balance between living tradition and creative zeitgeist" is their motto. The cuisine is seasonal and rich in flavour and finesse, with creative dishes that draw on modern influences, are pared down to the essentials and clearly structured. Some of the ingredients are in fact home-grown. Warm wood and sleek design make for an attractive setting in which to enjoy the friendly and competent service provided by the proprietress.
