Situated in the oldest, most visited part of Zagreb, this quiet, well-run restaurant welcomes guests with an entire wall covered with plants and flowers that symbolise the Medvednica, the mountain chain to the north of the capital that inspires the cuisine served here. With a focus on local, mostly organic ingredients, dishes are colourful and creative, aiming to awaken the senses by introducing a range of different flavours (sweet, acidic, bitter etc). The sommelier will happily recommend Croatian wines to accompany your meal, while the service is enthusiastic, friendly and attentive. Make sure you taste the risotto made with Acquerello rice, as well as the Torero’s own delicious cheesecake.
