Lindenstraße 90, Berlin, Germany
€€€ ・ Korean Contemporary
As soon as you enter the restaurant, you can see into the open kitchen, where chef Jinok Kim puts a modern spin on the culinary traditions of her Korean homeland. Using regional ingredients, some from the restaurant's own garden in Brandenburg, she shows a particular interest in fermented foods. The ingredient-led dishes are beautifully precise. Natural wines accompany the five-course set menu (vegetarian or with meat) served on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and the seven-course set menu (vegetarian or with fish) available on Fridays and Saturdays. The space is pleasantly pared back and the service is very friendly. Jinok Kim is also a ceramicist and makes the crockery on which the dishes are served – the studio is also located in the building. The restaurant is located not far from Checkpoint Charlie, on a small square (with a lovely terrace) opposite the Jewish Museum.
