Bib Gourmand: good quality, good value cooking
Occupying a charming property in the trendy Vila Mariana district, this restaurant boasts a simple yet welcoming ambience and is run by chef Ygor Lopes and pastry chef Walkyria Fagundes, both of whom have trained in leading eateries in Spain and Brazil. The cuisine here is strongly focused on sustainability and is showcased on a menu that changes with the seasons. In addition to the à la carte, you’ll find an “executive” midweek menu along with breakfast served on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The menu includes dishes made for sharing, such as the crispy Lua Cheia savoury cheese pastry with a red pepper sauce, and the homemade Cavatelli pasta served with a ragù of mushrooms, macadamia nuts and Tulha cheese. To round off your meal, the tempting desserts are presented in an attractive display cabinet.
