Björn Freitag, familiar from Goldener Anker in Dorsten, set up this interesting restaurant right on Königsallee, the shopping street known as "Kö". The chic brasserie in Hotel Kö59 serves up seasonally inspired Rhenish cuisine, but international influences can also be detected on the menu. Shining examples include tartare of Simmental beef fillet with lentils, mustard, lettuce and crunchy celeriac, or confit salmon with carrot, quince, curry and couscous.
