The Bolka family continues with their long-established tradition of hospitality in this authentic and welcoming restaurant that immediately warms the heart. The skilfully updated cuisine combines local recipes with a contemporary twist, as demonstrated by dishes such as trout tartare served with sweet and sour ginger, trout roe and a Bernese foam sauce. The menu changes with the seasons and showcases local ingredients such as Krškopolje pork, Carnolian sausage and locally farmed trout. The wine list has the same regional focus, with almost every Slovenian wine available by the glass.

"Although a sustainable approach is behind many of the decisions made at this restaurant, the Self Supply House “Pantry” situated right behind the restaurant is particularly worth a mention. Here, on special days arranged in partnership with the Stonoga centre for sustainable development, clients can order and collect organic fruit, vegetables, dairy produce, honey and beer, all made by local producers. The aim behind this initiative is to promote short supply chains and fair prices for customers and producers alike."
