This unexpected gourmet restaurant is housed in a sports centre just outside the charming historic centre of Recanati, birthplace of famous Italian poet Giacomo Leopardi (a visit, either before or after your meal, to the Casa Leopardi and the hill which inspired his famous poem “L’Infinito” is a must, in our opinion). At the helm in the kitchen, young, talented chef Andrea Bertini has returned to his native region where he reinterprets the traditions of the Marche (with a focus on meat) to create light, simple and unfussy dishes. The same simple style is echoed in the decor, which is elegant and very understated. Dishes are showcased on two surprise tasting menus and an à la carte which also features a few fish options.
