MICHELIN Guide's Point Of View

Part of the Country House Villadorata resort in the hills outside Noto, this restaurant boasts a delightful setting with the sea as a backdrop, surrounded by gardens which provide many of the vegetables used in the cuisine. Viviana Varese, a Michelin-starred chef from Milan, is in partnership here with Matteo Carnaghi, who is at the helm in the kitchen, with excellent results. The cooking is rooted in Sicilian ingredients, with one weekday evening in summer dedicated entirely to barbecue-grilled dishes.
