A family restaurant run with pride and enthusiasm, Il Cantinone delights guests with its array of local gastronomic delicacies sourced from the surrounding mountains and nearby lake, including ingredients such as buckwheat, trout, whitefish and eel, along with polenta, mushrooms and game. The menu also occasionally features more exotic influences acquired by chef Stefano Masanti during his time spent travelling the world before he returned to his beloved mountains.

"Various ingredients come from the restaurant's own vegetable garden and greenhouse, while game and meat from local farms is often utilised; a daily menu is also a constant. Renewable sources produce electricity and heat thanks to solar panels, while as far as water consumption is concerned, the entire structure is connected to the recycling network of the Comunità Montana della Valchiavenna, which completely recovers all the water used."
